Early Spring Application
A balanced slow-release nitrogen application timed to break dormancy and support rapid green-up without pushing excessive blade growth that stresses roots. Applied when soil temps reach 50°F — typically late March to mid-April in Kootenai County.
Pre-Emergent Herbicide
Applied in late spring before soil temperatures trigger crabgrass and annual weed germination. Timing is critical — too early and the barrier breaks down before the weed flush; too late and the seeds have already sprouted. LP tracks local soil temps to hit the window correctly.
Summer Spot Treatment
Post-emergent herbicide targeted at broadleaf weeds that pushed through or were missed by pre-emergent timing — dandelion, clover, plantain, spurge. Spot treatment limits product usage and protects surrounding turf from blanket overspray stress during peak heat.
Fall Winterizer Fertilizer
